Bhilai. Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University (PRSU) has issued a notice to Takshashila College for cancelling its affiliation. Moreover, the college which is being managed at the rented building of Institute of Engineers (IE), which had taken on lease from BSP, was also issued a notice from BSP managment regarding cancellation of lease for not following norms. Raipur. Students of Shri Gujarati English Medium School, Devendra Nagar has made the school proud by clearing the Class X High School Certificate Examination with good marks. As many as 26 students secured first class and Jinal Suthar topped the school by scoring 91.34 per cent marks. She just scrapped through 20th position in merit by 8 marks. Jinal's cousin Mittal Suthar secured second position in school by scoring 89.66 per cent marks and closely followed by Aruna Rao with 89 per cent. Pandaria-Kawardha. Results of Saraswati Shishu Mandir Higher School and Saraswati Shishu Mandir Higher Secondary School remained 86 and 92 per cent respectively. In the high school examination, Jayesh Kumar, son of Kulbhushan Kesharwani, stood 1st by scoring 85.83 per cent marks and Umesh Kashyap stood second by scoring 85 per cent marks. Similarly, Nikita Dewangan secured the top position with 88.5 per cent marks. The school management committee and the teachers of the school have expressed their pleasure over the results of the examination. Durg. The much-promoted University Grants Commission's (UGC) faculty recharge scheme for different streams of science has turned futile for Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University (PRSU) one of the oldest universities of Chhattisgarh. Even the management of university had submitted its faculty requirements for science subjects to UGC a year ago, till not a single faculty has been appointed by UGC in the university. The toppers list of Diploma, Bachelor and Master Degrees has disappointed Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekananda Technical University (CSVTU) Bhilai as in many streams no student has scored enough marks for their inclusion in the 'Merit List' declared for the session 2011-12 by the University on its website on May 21. This is the final list declared by the university after the declaration of the tentative merit list two months ago. The streams in which the university has failed to get any toppers in Diploma are Architecture, Chemical Engineering and Printing Technology. Raipur. Chhattisgarh Government and Fun-first Company, Mumbai signed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) here at Mahanadi Bhavan, New Secretariat, on Wednesday. As per the agreement, the trainees of Government Industrial Training Institute (ITI) Sarguja (Ambikapur), ITI Raipur, and ITI at Bhilai will be given training under flat channel display TV training programme. Students will be provided training in electronics, mechanics and repairing of radio and TV. The training session will begin from the month of July. Under the programme, 180 hours of technical training and 120 hours of soft skill development training will be provided to the trainees.
