Govt schools in pathetic condition
Jagdalpur. Despite the highfalutin jargon about how much this government is dedicated to promotion of school education, the condition of shools is deteriorating day by day. Making a mockery of government's claims the dilapidated school buildings are playing with the future of children and the entire administration remains surprisingly ignorant about the facts.
Similar condition prevails in both interior villages as well as the ones with a historical background. One such long suffering school in Bhagat Singh School situated in Bastar Divisional Headquarter with dilapidated roof, no boundary walls, no furniture and also no main gate. As a result, during the nights, this is favorite haunt for the anti social elements of the entire ward.
Each morning, the students are faced with empty bottles and other garbage left back at the hoodlums who chose the building to make merry. Sadly, there are several other school buildings, where similar scenes are enacted each evening. The roof of this school had collapsed recently after a heavy downpour.
The school management is severely fund crushed, and hence, helpless. Although, the school has been recently chosen for an upgradation, but the facilities have remains despondent to say the least. Even High School students for their lessons. What is really scary is that fact that if a school situated at Headquarters is in such sorry state, the condition of those situated at remote villages can be easily fathomed.
