Raipur. Written examination for 268 positions of Additional Block Education Officer (ABEO) (सहायक ब्लाक शिक्षा अधिकारी ) from Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission (CGPSC) will be conducted on March 9. As nearly as 72790 students will be appearing in the examination.
Candidates must use black ink only when writing in the answer booklet. If this instruction not followed, the eligibility of a candidate would be cancelled.
Besides that, the eligibility of the candidate will also come to end when any part of the answer booklet is found highlighted, or with any kind of symbols or marks.
Examination will be conducted in two shifts i.e. first shift from 10 am to 12:30 pm and second shift from 2 pm to 4:30 pm.
Examination will be held in two phases. First phase being the written test which will consist of 600 marks followed by the Interview consisting of 75 marks.
Written test will consist of two papers, starting with General Studies consisting of 50 questions. General Knowledge of Chhattisgarh will consist of 75 marks and Intelligence will carry 25 marks.
Second paper of the written test will be conducted on Educational Administration and Right to Education. Both sections will consist of 150 questions, each carrying 2 marks.

Collector Thakur Ram Singh has appointed Assistant Collector Sharif Muhammad as examination In charge. Examination will be held at 49 examination centers in two shifts i.e. first shift from 10 am to 12:30 pm and second shift from 2 pm to 4:30 pm.

Direct recruitment is being made through Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission (CGPSC) for 268 positions of ABEO in school education department of state.
The vacant positions of ABEO were first filled on the basis of departmental promotion. Direct recruitment has been decided by the recruitment rules, 2008 which has caused the teachers from all over Chhattisgarh protest against it.
Written test for ABEO will be conducted by the commission on March 9th. The test will consist of two papers including General Studies & Educational Publications and Right to Education.
Each paper will contain 300 marks while the interview will be conducted on 75 marks.

Teachers from all over the state while protesting against the direct recruitment for ABEO have demanded to fill the vacant positions of ABEO through departmental promotion.
Although, the representative board of teachers' association in a meeting with state administration was assured, the process of direct recruitment continue to exist.
