State Eligibility Test (SET) to be organized after 7 years
Raipur. State Eligibility Test (SET) is likely to be held on December 15. High Power Committee has approved the syllabus of SET. Advertisement on the examination will be published in 2-3 days.
SET was first organised in 2006 after the establishment of Chhattisgarh state. The examination will be conducted again after 7 years. The syllabus of SET has been designed on the basis of National Eligibility Test (NET).
The high power committee of educationalists has given green signal to the syllabus of SET.
According to the instructions of UGC (University Grants Commission) , the examination should be conducted before December 31. Therefore, a date has been fixed as well as the preparations in regard to conducting the examination are being taken care of.
Notably, candidates if found eligible after appearing in SET will be provided job placement within State.
SET will be conducted for 18 subjects that includes Hindi, English, Sanskrit, Mathematics, Geography, Sociology, Political Science, Economics, History, Psycology, Commerce, Method, Computer Science, Physics, Life Science, Chemical Science, Physical Education and Library Science.
These subjects also have their additional subjects. For instance Statistics in Mathematics, Chemistry in Chemical Science, Botany in Life Science, Public Administration in Zoology and Sociology etc.
